What jumps out of Huston Hedinger's hair on the first D3.js video?

In this video, at exactly 4:15, a little ... guy... jumps out of Huston Hedinger's hair. Wtf is this?

And this is what I don't like in Treehouse, I only wanted to see what you are talking about and now the whole course is attached to my "In Progress" ... sigh...

Michael A agreed. It'd be nice to have a feature that would allow you to remove a course from "in progress" or if you view a video from the Forum have it not add to your "in progress". I've been seeing talk about this in the forum recently so it's possible it's something they're aware of and is on their list but they haven't been able to get to yet.

Kristopher Van Sant, I know they are aware of it. I have sent them emails myself. I don't know if you have seen my latest activity here, I myself redirect users to the Treehouse support team for this exact issue.

Since I will be going through JavaScript down the line, I won't make a fuss about it and leave it as it is.

I'm not an engineer (yet) so I cannot know what it takes to implement such feature, but it would be nice to see official post from the staff that they are aware of it, and are in the process of fixing it, something...

Yeaaaa there's a couple of bugs here and there with the UI... nothing really serious though — nothing that interferes with the learning experience. The Bookmarks and In-Progress features should be consolidated into one Playlist-type feature, in my opinion. Haha but, I'm sure Treehouse's UX-ers know way better than I when it comes to their own UX!

Also, as of this writing, if you look at the All Time Leaderboards, it shows people with like 4000 points as having 150000 points — it tripped me out earlier haha

Hahaha yes Mikis! Never really bothered with the Leaderboards though :)

It could be nice if the forum had a sticky section with feedback that everyone can see, and official messages from Treehouse staff and the moderators!

They do have a Featured part of the forum that works like that, kinda; I think only staff can post to it.

Haha I love the Leaderboards though! They're silly if you think about it too much but, if you take it at face value, I love the mini ego-boost I get when it tells me I've got more points in a topic than "99%" of EVERYONE ;)

Oh yeah, I haven't seen this part of the forum haha! Thank you! Yeah I get you about the ego boost XD

Another feature I would like to mention that twists my colon, is that I have to go alllllllllll the way up to hit "Add Comment" so it will appear under yours wayyyy down, lol.

I want to have a serious talk with the UX Designer of Treehouse! :P

Yeah, the comment flow definitely needs some more work. Due to the number of people I've witnessed who answer Forum questions as Comments instead of as Answers (even you did this right now; I just changed it to an Answer for ya) or respond to a Comment with an Answer, I'd say this is a less trivial "bug" than the mishaps in Bookmarks and In-Progress et al.

LOL, I think it something that fell from the upper lightning stand, perhaps a small spider or other kind of bug...

We are aware of some of the shortcomings in regards to managing your in-progress content. We're actually working on a new home page that will take care of this and several other things that we believe require improvement. I can't share any other details but it's awesome and I can't wait for us to release it.
