What keeps causing my layouts to break when I resize the screen?

Every time I practice on layouts, each time I resize the browser window, the screen on the right side of the site keeps getting cut off, so there will be an empty space with a white background. Can someone help me identify the issue so I can permanently avoid this from happening again? https://codepen.io/classycal/pen/xxbYRgR

It looks like your li items are pushing out of the ul container, when scaling. This is because your nav li items do not have enough space to keep themselves on one line. You should change the appearance of your nav on smaller screens :)
