if i'm looking at the right video, the for structure loops for the number of times consistent with the students array length.

for( var i = 0; i < students.length; i += 1) {

For each loop, a variable (student) has assigned the object at index of the loop variable (i).

student = students[i];

For each object, html is appended (+=) to the message variable. Values on the current object are accessed using dot notation. Hence student.name references the name attribute on the object currently in student.

Thank You.
