11,873 PointsWhat selector is the variable $overlay? In other words, what kind of jQuery selector is $('div id="overlay"></div>')?
This selector is used in line 14 of the video as $overlay.show() which would read as $('div id="overlay"></div>').show, but what kind of selector is this?

$('div id="overlay"></div>')

jQuery uses CSS selectors to specify element. It must be:
var $overlay = $('#overlay');
or
var $overlay = $('div#overlay');
