What sign acts as the closing tag in JavaScript, like a period at the end of a sentence?

The JavaScript code in workspace shows </script> as the closing tag. I see the ; being used as an ending for the individual lines of code within the script tags but not as the ending script tag.

The ";" is used to end every command in JavaScript (although it is actually optional). The "</script>" tag is to indicate to the browser that your code is now HTML again rather than JavaScript.

"<script>" and "</script>" are a part of HTML, not JavaScript
