Was wondering what the code should look like using a the newer version of Django since I am doing this locally.

Figured it out, if anyone has problems Corey Shafer's videos on YouTube go over this is Django 2.1, just as knowledgeable as Kenneth. Also his Flask series is pretty informative as well.
