What's the difference between "/home" and "/home/treehouse"? Does "/home" not have a user? (Comes up around 8 mins in)

Probably a minor thing, but would really appreciate an answer if someone could please spare a minute.

This would be a lot easier to understand if a file tree graphic were included in the video.

/home is a directory which resides within your "username" (your identity on the computer). Every user has one. Mac and LInux is %your_username%/home and the equivalent in Windows is %your_username%\My Documents.

/home/treehouse is simply a directory within the /home directory.

This is explained briefly within the first 2:30 of the video.

So, treehouse ~ $ on the console prompt tells me that I am in the treehouse directory of /home i.e ~ directory ???
