whats the exact purpose having console.log in the js file?dont the browser's console work without the console.log syntax?

It's useful for checking an output of a function or the value of a variable. Say you have a function or a loop that's not quite working the way you'd hoped. You can use console.log in the code to print the values to the console, just so you can see what's going on.
