What's wrong with my code?

Why doesn't this work? It does in the workspaces

Hey Wilfredo,

You code is correct syntactically. It's just not what the challenge asked for. The challenges are very picky and very strict when it come to the instructions. The challenge is asking you to return the values and you are using print. If you change that, you'll be good to go.

def first_4(hey):
  return hey[:4]
