HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

What's wrong with this code? I followed the instructions to the tee. The href= in the list don't seem to work.

<!DOCTYPE html>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
          <li> < a herf= "index.html">Porfolio </a> </li>
          <li> <a herf= "about.html">About</a></li>
          <li> <a herf= "contact.html">Contact</a></li>

Hi Abram,

You have a typo on "Portfolio"

There's a space after your opening angle bracket on your first link < a herf= "index.html">Porfolio </a>

Also, you have herf instead of href
