When did we discuss the @Bean annotation? When did we discuss the Environment interface?

The AppConfig.java is a little foreign coming from the Spring basics. Is there another intermediate track that touches on the @Bean annotation and the Environment interface?

I didn't watch the course but The @Bean annotation tells Spring that a method annotated with @Bean will return an object that should be registered as a bean in the Spring application context.
