println() is also unavailable in my playground. It says that "println" has been renamed to "print".

Yes, Swift 2.0 and 2.1 releases have removed println()
so now we use print()
. That's progress!
Also, the console output can usually be found by going to View | Debug Area | Show Debug Area. And, yes, that moved too.
