Why am I getting a compiler error?

I'm getting a compiler error when everything seems to be working okay.

variable_assignment.mm
//NSDictionary *artDict = @{[@"Artist":@"Dali", @"Title":@"The Ship", @"Medium":@"Oil Paint"]};

NSDictionary *artDict = @{[@"Artist":@"Dali", @"Title":@"The Ship", @"Medium":@"Oil Paint"]};

You need to get rid of the square brackets. NSDictionary literals don't use them unless some value happens to use them.

NSDictionary *artDict = @{@"Artist":@"Dali", @"Title":@"The Ship", @"Medium":@"Oil Paint"};

I hope this helps!
