Why are my changes not being saved in my text editor?

I was following the video and got to the part where we go into developer tools and find the div tag to uncheck the display so we can see the color slider, which I did but it didn't save that change so the slider would still appear if I closed it out and re-ran the program. Is there a way to save changes you make in the developer tools? I am using Notepad ++. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

CRTL-S in windows will save the document in the editor. If there is an * next to the filename then it means you need to save, otherwise its saved. Sometimes after preciew, you still need to refresh the browser. Happs to me : )
