Why can't I copy and paste into Workspaces?

Whenever, I need to add an image by copying and pasting the source address into Workspaces, it will not let me. I encountered this the first time and worked around it by finding another site other than placeimg.com, although I still had to enter the address manually. Any ideas as to why it won't let me copy and paste into Workspaces?
