Why do he mention ctrl+shift+i and not the simpler f12 method?

It's mildly annoying when doing it for weeks and discovering f12. I believe the ctrl+shift+i method was mentioned very early on in the front end track as well.

f12 keyboard shortcut doesn't work on all Operating Systems
