why do my text turns into UpperCase even after typing in lower case?

i have realized that anytime i render the element, it turns into uppercase on the browser. why is it so?

If you take a look at the index.css file that came with the starter files you'll see in the top body selector that there is a rule actually making this happen.

body {
  background: #e8e7e7;
  font-family: arial;
  text-transform: uppercase;
}

That text-transform: uppercase; is the culprit here :thumbsup:
