Why do we have to put <h1> and </h1> and what does it mean?

I'm curious to know why do we put <h1> and </h1> in document.write section and not in alert section can you please help

<h1> is an HTML tag that means that the text you are displaying is a header. Normally you should use it to display the main header of your website, with an special styling.
