Why does github show the dates of my commits incorrectly. It says I made commits from earlier this year except for one..

I saw the same on my GitHub profile I committed from the terminal on the 30th of november, but on GitHub the messages say I last committed on march, thats really weird..., I wasn't even doing the tech-degree 8 months ago

Did you personally make all those commits? If they already existed in the repo, then the commits would retain the date they were originally made.
