Why does Hampton pronounce it "Lor-avel"? lol

Pretty sure it's pronounced "Laravel" - "lar" as in "pair".

English words aren't really spelled phonetically, so unless someone comes along and tells you THIS is how to say Laravel, it's really up to the individuals intuition.

You can listen to Taylor Otwell (the creator of Laravel) pronounce the word in a screencast here. So you are right in how it should be pronounced.

Ok I figured - I just wanted to make sure I wasn't pronouncing it wrong.

actually it's pronounced laRAvel (sounds like the 'the ravel'). Source: https://translate.google.com/#auto/en/laravel (press the small speaker icon)! :D
