Why does my code not complete the challenge?

I don't see why my code does not complete the challenge.

Because you are declaring you constant inside the initializer :)

class Shape {


    var numberOfSides: Int

    init(numberOfSides: Int) {
        self.numberOfSides = numberOfSides
    }


}

let someShape = Shape(numberOfSides: 4)
