CSS CSS Basics (2014) Enhancing the Design With CSS Transparent Gradients and Multiple Backgrounds

Why does the background image blend in with the rest of the page?

Does the background image blend in rest of the page because it is the same color or is it something to do with gradient ??

1 Answer

The image would blend in with the rest of the page, because the linear-gradient progresses into the same color of the background color or the page. Without the gradient, you would see a sharp stop of the image and not it blending into the page. I hope this helped.
