iOS Swift Basics (retired) Control Flow If Statement

Why does this not work in the the callenge but in the xcode playground ?

  • you guys should conside to update your swift basic course since Swift 2.0 is out.
months.swift
let months = [1, 2, 3]

for var month in months{
 if(month == 1){ 
   print("January") 
 } else if(month == 2){
    print("February")
 } else if(month == 3){
    print("March")}
}

Hi Daniel,

Yes, there's a bit of updating to be done especially with Swift having evolved! I'm sure the guys will have a plan for that.

For this challenge, the compiler seems to be objecting to the var keyword. Is that required?

for month in months{
 if month == 1 { 
   println("January") 
 } else if month == 2 {
    println("February")
 } else if month == 3 {
    println("March")
 }
}

And, yes, it wants println() rather than print() too.
