Python Python Basics Number Game App Number Game Refinement

Why does this program not run? I type python number_game.py and the console does not do anything?

import random

def game():

secret_num= random.randint(1,10)
guesses=[]

while len(guesses) < 5 :
    try:

        guess=int(input("Guess a number between 1 and 10: "))
    except ValueError:
        print("{} isn't a number!".format(guess))
    else:
            if guess == secret_num:
                print("you win jackwagon my number was {}".format(secret_num))
                break
            elif guess < secret_num:
                print("Sorry my number was higher then {}.".format(guess))
            else:
                print("Sorry my number was lower then {}.".format(guess))
            guesses.append(guess)
else:
     print("you didnt get it my number was {}".format(secret_num))

play_again=input("Do you want to play again Y/n?.")
if play_again.lower() != 'n':
    game()
else:
     print("Bye you quitter")

Hi,

If your issue has not already been solved yet: I guess that this is the case because, although you defined a game() function, you didn't actutally call this function at the end of your code. Right now Python would read your function definition, but there is nothing that it could execute.

you dont have import random at the top of your code to generate random numbers, and function game() is not also not define, hope it helps
