Why does this way of solving for sillycase not work?

Am I making a syntax error or can this task not be solved this way?

sillycase.py 
sillycase(string):
    midpoint = (len(string) // 2)
    silly = sillycase[0:midpoint]
    case = sillycase[midpoint:]
    return silly.lower() + case.upper()

Your logic is fine but there are two issues with your code:

  • You forgot the 'def' keyword right at the start to define the function.
  • You have named your function parameter as 'string', but then you have sliced a variable called 'sillycase'. These two names need to be consistent.
