Why float the header left and then widen it to 100%?

What is the difference between floating a header on the left with a width of 100%, and not floating so it stays in the middle where it already was?

Nick explains in the video that it doesn't matter for the small screen breakpoint, but it will matter for later videos when you create the layout for desktop (large screen).
