Android Build an Interactive Story App (Retired) Intents and Multiple Activities Getting Data from an Intent

Why I am getting strike on "ActionBarActivity"?

My MainActivity.java looks like something as follows:

"public class MainActivity extends ActionBarActivity" instead of "public class MainActivity extends Activity" as shown in video.

it is same in StoryActivity.java file as follows:

"public class MainActivity extends ActionBarActivity"instead of "public class MainActivity extends Activity".

I am also getting strike on ActionBarActivity.

What is difference between "ActionBarActivity" & "Activity"? Why I am getting strike on "ActionBarActivity"

ActionBarActivity and its methods have been deprecated with the release of SDK 22 I believe. The crossed out code will still work for the class, however. Android now wants people to start using the Toolbar and navigational drawer, but there's plenty of time to learn that later. For now, you should be fine. Ask if you get any errors.
