Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types List cleanup

why is not working ?

messy = [5, 2, 8, 1, 3] del messy [2]

gives me a Bummer error did you use del? ... (>_<)

lists.py
messy = [5, 2, 8, 1, 3]
del messy [2]

Hello Cristobal,

Please note that there should be no space between the list name and the index number.

del messy[2]

This will work.
