CSS CSS Foundations Selectors Class and ID Selectors

Why is there no Workspace in Guil Hernandez's CSS Class? It would be super helpful if he called out the hex values

Just asking why this doesn't follow the same pedagogical methods used by Nick Pettit at the beginning of this track...

Hi Marc Scaturro,

As James and Nick mentioned, CSS Foundations was recorded way before we released the Workspaces feature. My next big task is to redo CSS Foundations using Workspaces and breaking it up into more digestible bits––among other things. :)

Guil Hernandez 's course is a deep dive which has a different pedagogy than Nick Pettit's course which is a project. My 2 cents is that Treehouse takes a Project-first approach so they start with the project to give you the broad strokes then fill in all the little details.

Also as Nick Ocampo mentioned, CSS Foundations predates Workspaces and the Build a Website course, so there's the Code Playground in CSS Foundations which Treehouse used before they made Workspaces

I'm not completely sure about this, but workspaces are a fairly new thing at Treehouse and I image the tutorial you're referring to was made before workspaces.

Right on... I figured as much, but thought I'd ask. Also, when I resumed the track, which initiated the CSS Foundations course, it started me in Stage 5 (backgrounds) rather than the beginning. Maybe it was just a glitch on my end... I just thought you should know. Thanks for the response and have a good one!

have you downloaded the view in browser package for sublime text?
