Why is this not working?

I've completed the other tasks bu there might be a problem here, when i try to register my function as a simple tag the first tasks fail, when i try to register as a filter i dosen't work so what is the problem, i've try register the long way and the short hand

code_challenges/templatetags/fairy_extras.py
from django import template

register = template.Library()

@register.filter('conjugate_is')
def conjugate_is(n):
  if n == 1:
    return 'is'
  else:
    return 'are'
code_challenges/templates/code_challenges/list.html
{% load fairy_extras %}

There is {{ num_elf }} el{{ num_elf|pluralize:"f,ves" }}.

I went using the ternary operator for the first couple tasks, and successfully registered it as a simple_tag :

@register.simple_tag
def conjugate_is(num):
    return 'is' if num == 1 else 'are'

But I'm stuck on the last part, where I'm supposed to use the tag...
