Why it's not finding my JSON file?

Hi, I'm trying to fetch a response from the JSON file that I have in my project. My main.js and state_capitals.json files are both in js folder. The path to the folder is correct and I'm using the atom-live server, why it's displaying me the 404(Not found) Error in the console every time I want to fetch this JSON data? Here is my code:

const searchStates = async searchText => {
  const res = await fetch('state_capitals.json');
}
