why its wrong ?
I made a lot of attempts and did not fully understand how to solve this question
let navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('nav a') let galleryLinks = document.querySelectorAll('#gallery > ul a') let footerImages;

You are very close!
The 2nd task in the challenge is asking you to: "select all <a> elements inside the unordered list with the ID gallery and assign them to the variable galleryLinks"
So you only need to select the gallery ID and then using a descendant selector the "a" elements, to get all of the "a" tags that are descendants of that ID.
I actually think what you have might work in the real world, but the challenge wanted the simplest solution. So specifying the "ul" element was not necessary. And the ">" child combinator was not necessary either. I do think the way the task is written is confusing, it sounds like you need to specify the "ul" tag as well.
let navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('nav a') let galleryLinks = document.querySelectorAll('#gallery a') let footerImages;
I hope this helps. And happy coding!
