Why .push is not a function?

I copy & paste the first part of this video, but my browser told me capitalizedFruit.push is not a function.

I googled but it said this error happen when it's applied to array element, it should be fine to be applied on array like this case. Why does this happen?

Are you invoking(calling) push function? You need to call push function.

Try it out:

let capitalizedFruit = [];
capitalizedFruit.push('BANANA');

It should work!
