Why req.body.number suddenly has an issue in this example?

So I understand that .number is the name of the post form being submitted. I'm confused why it stopped working suddenly after you pass an if condition testing (isNan). It was working before you refresh the page without that if statement, but that if statement is not changing anything about the post form. Why the same error wouldn't show before?

NVM I think I understand now. It's just when you first open the page without any input in the form, the req.number is still undefined.
