why select <a> element but not <li> or <img>

Hello, I was wondering why in the video, Andrew use <a> element instead of <li> or <img>. How does one know when to choose which one to put in the .click()

Choice of target depends on what you are trying to achieve.

In this case, the handler is specifically intended to override the default behavior of the link (a) element, so that's the target of the handler.
