Why use "getIntExtra()" instead of "getStringExtra()"?

I have looked at the documentation for the method but it is still not quite clear. Any help to further elaborate?

FlightActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;

public class FlightActivity extends Activity {

  public int mFuelLevel = 0;

  @Override
  protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.activity_flight);

    // Add your code below!

  }
}

Because the value we put in the intent, and now are trying to retrieve, is an int so we need to use getIntExtra().
