Why weren't SEO mentioned in relation to Heading tags?

Given that how Heading tags is ordered can affect a pages SEO (Search Engine Optimization) rating, why wasn't it at least mentioned as a one-line addition when saying that h1 tags usually is at the top?

Hi Joel Engebratt It could have been to abstract the current concept in learning for you to breakdown what is currently being taught rather than expanding. What is the material you are looking at?

It was during the HTML Basic course, so I understand that it can be a bit abstract and a bit more than is needed. It was just something I reacted to, that it was mentioned that it was the general practice to have heading tags in order of importance, but no mention was for SEO, even as something for those who wanted to dig a bit deeper.

I understand completely! SEO is a completely different and separate concept as you already know. So it will just be as I said in my original answer, just separations of concerns for what is being currently taught.
