wildcard DNS

Hi, I have a question regarding wildcard DNS. I have a website that host by 101domain and use Plesk as cpanel. I already set up the wildcard DNS which is *.mywebsitename.com but when I tried to go to any not exist subdomain like, 123.mywebsitename.com, the Plesk Web Server's Default Page showed up instead of the homepage. So how do I fix this? What do I need to do to make any not exist subdomain will give the homepage? BTW, I use WordPress as CMS.

You should probably ask your web host for instructions on doing this, because it's likely to vary depending on the way they have their platform set up.

Any decent hosting supplier will give you a quick answer.

I already called them and they told me the wildcard that I set up on 101domain work fines, It is just the server give us web server's default page instead of home page. They told me I need to do "manually" in Plesk to solve this issue.

In Plesk what did you instruct *.yourdomain.com to route to? www. ?

yes, I route to www. Btw, the website is https://state.africa/. I use self-signed SSL certificate, so there will be "Your connection is not private" warning.

Beyond my experience to give you any more info. Perhaps someone else can provide some more ideas.

If not, I suggest you ask your provider how exactly to do it manually.
