HTML How to Make a Website Sharing a Website Find a Domain

Will it be necessary to purchase a domain in order to complete this entire track?

I don't want to buy a domain just for the purpose of this course. I want to confirm I am good at making websites before I decide to purchase a domain for myself. Thank you.

To share a site on the internet, yes, you'd need a domain. However, you can continue to practice building websites without buying a domain, it's just that the website will only be available on your computer until you buy a domain and host it to the internet.

You can definitely get started with Web development without buying a domain name! I wholeheartedly suggest checking out this Treehouse workshop for one free option: Hosting a Website With Github Pages.
