Will the "Front End Performance Optimization" course leave me clear on how to optimize in the WordPress environment?

I want to move beyond plugins and do it properly, but all of the resources I have found so far do not clearly explain how to implement the recommendations in WordPress specifically (without plugins).

As I recall, this course is about optimizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript for page performance (minimal loading time, etc.). Wordpress is a content management system and is not a topic area covered in this course.

Thanks Steven, Yeah I went ahead and started it anyway and while it is not WP specific, I think it's a good primer on the topic anyway.
