I was wondering the same thing. I heard its hard but I really really want to learn it because apparently it is good for almost everything. I hope one day they will reconsider.

They might find it hard as well. And not to be stereotypical but programmers seem to be hard to negotiate with and specially c++. I am not sure that is the issue, just some theories.
