Wondering if we "need" to use workspaces?

The error feedbacks aren't always helpful for me and the network I run on makes the program pause, glitch, freeze, or just not work intuitively. I'm wondering if I should just use an IDE locally and compile that way. IMO, it's not working consistently and/or providing helpful error details to understand what is happening.

No you don't. Simply use whatever IDE your want.
