WordPress Admin

I am not looking to code or change anything right now. I just want to administrate WordPress. I want to follow the process and get a warm fuzzy on how it works.

I am noticing there is a difference in the version of Wordpress that treehouse is using in video "Setting Up Custom Post Types and Fields" and what is used on the webhostingforstudents site. Is there an updated video that corresponds to the the version of WordPress that is used on the treehouse site to match what is used on the webhostingforstudents site ? The webhostingforstudents is using WordPress 4.4.2

I am finding it difficult to follow along trying to setting up the Custom Post Types and Fields under Art.

Hi Ken,

Unfortunately Wordpress updates quite quickly so while some of the courses are not exactly out of date they do go a few versions back in WordPress.

Treehouse did bring out a course fairly recently that goes through a high level look at Wordpress. I'm not sure the precise version it covers but it is not too far from the current 4.4.2 version and will definitely fire you up on the basics of Wordpress without much coding required. I believe the course covers custom post types and fields too.
