working with functions

Basic JavaScript challenge Task 2 of 2. I don't really understand what they are asking me and this is as far as I got before the system started telling me Task 1 is no longer valid. any help would be amazing.

This is how you are supposed to implement action 2:

function returnValue(width){

  return width;
}

var echo=returnValue('somevalue');

You are required to create a variable and assign to it the value returned by the function
