will ignore my code won't preview anything I write only the treehouse code is in already not sure why -

I'm not sure I understand your issue, but one thing you have to get used to with the workspace is whenever you make a change, you must save it (with the menu or control-S shortcut), and then refresh your preview.

If you forget either of those, it might appear to be ignoring your code changes.
