Workspaces Degraded Performance
We're aware that as of early this morning Workspaces have not been working for many and for those who can get it to work, it's slow to both load and use.
The issue is being investigated and you can follow along with our investigation over at http://treehouse.statuspage.io/
In the meantime, we recommend using an offline text editor of your choice. Here are a few of our recommendations:

An update on Workspaces status: Our hosting provider has identified the problem with our storage pool and a repair is in progress. While things are still a little slower than normal, we've re-enabled Workspaces while we continue to monitor the situation. Thank you all for your patience and understanding, we hope to be back to normal operations soon!
