840 PointsXcode not showing "Console Output" after clicking "Show assistant Editor" a new panel is added, but it is blank.
Is this part of the update to XCode or is there an issue here? I also played around with the "Show Debug Area" but still am not seeing any outputs in the assistant editor area.

Just try the solution that Tremaine recommended :
"If you have Xcode 7: Press SHIFT + CMD + Y or at the top of the nav bar to the far right, press the 2nd from the right button or on the menu bar go to View -> Debug Area -> Show Debug Area"
It worked for me.
