You are provided with a constant array named months that contains 3 consecutive numbers starting at 1. Using a for-in loop and an if statement, print out "January" when you encounter a 1, "February" when you encounter a 2, and finally "March" when you encounter a 3.

I have been working on this, I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong

months.swift
let months = [1, 2, 3]
for month in months {
    if month ==ย 1 {
    println("January")
    } else if month == 2 {
        println("February")
    } elseย {
        println("March")
    }
}

Your code looks right, what error does it give you in preview?

It is stating that numbers are consecutive. Replace let months = [1, 2, 3] with let months = 1...3 Hope it works

I'm afraid to say they provided that first straight of code

let months = [1, 2, 3] for month in months { if month == 1 { println("January") } else if month == 2 { println("February") } else if month == 3{ println("March") } }

Maybe you can try this.

still no luck

Anthony,

I'm sure that you have moved on to other things by now, but just in case you come back, I agree with Fawn: your cod looks correct.

This is what works for me in Xcode:

let months = [1, 2, 3]

for month in months{
    if month == 1{
        print("January")
    }else if month == 2{

        print("February")
    }
    else  {
        print("March")

    }
}
