3,054 PointsHow long does it take to complete the Web Developer track?
Is it realistic to complete it in 6 months?

Courses Plus Student 17,771 PointsI am about 80% finished with the track. The speed a student can complete the track will greatly differ based on: How much you study each day, your current skill level, and how quickly you learn. When I started I was a beginner developer will little experience, but I would say I also learn quickly (if that helps with gaging my experience). It took me about 2 months to get through 80% of the track content, studying pretty long hours every week (10:00am - 6:00pm 5 days a week). I was also taking other courses, so this was not all focused 100% on just the Web Developer track. The main reason I have not completed the track is there are a few subjects that don't really apply to the skills I am trying to learn. For example I use PHP primarily at work, not Ruby, so I haven't taken some of the newer Ruby courses (but I plan to at some point in the future).

8,174 PointsOld thread, I know, but was trying to gauge how others have fared.
I started the PHP track on Jan 22 and expecting to be finished tomorrow Feb 5, and took about 3 days off. I've been going pretty hard though, 10 -12 hrs per day, and have some experience in hacking Wordpress sites together, but would still consider myself pretty much a newbie.
So 11 days full-time, at the cost of about 5 mental breakdowns.
Now the real challenge make something with it.
Keep cranking!
