Courses Plus Student 3,518 PointsI am having issues opening Android Studio with the built in simulator AND GenyMotion. I prefer Genymotion
So Genymotion installed flawlessly and I got the lil Genymotion icon to appear in Android studios and I set up the virtual device with the same phone specs as the video tutorial. Genymotion opens up just fine but wont open up the "Hello world" project inside of it. I cant even get the built in simulator to work either.
So when I press the play button and it asks me if i want to open it with the Nexus 5 in Genymotion i hit OK and the operation fails and the error is as follows:
WARNING: linker: libdvm.so has text relocations. This is wasting memory and is a security risk. Please fix. pkg: /data/local/tmp/PP.funfacts Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_MANIFEST_MALFORMED]
I am using Windows 7 Professional.
Thanks for any help!

Treehouse Guest TeacherHello Ian,
Now that you have a lower case package name in your new FunFacts2 project, I think Genymotion should be working as expected.
Try launching Genymotion first. Then click the Play button or double click the virtual device you want to use. When it's done loading and your virtual device is ready, then click run in Android Studio. It will ask you to pick a virtual device, select the Genymotion device.
You'll see some messages in the log like the ones in the screen shot you sent me. That's okay.
Look at the Genymotion virtual device again and unlock it. The application should then be loaded on the virtual device.
I hope that helps.

14,603 PointsHi ! I think the problem is that you use Capital letters for package name, Start a new project and make sure that your package name don't have any capital letter, then try to run it
